Community Sector, Lviv: Dear friends, it
has been three months since
the confrontation of the President
Viktor Yanukovych with the people
of Ukraine began. Yesterday the conflict took
on a threatening form. Current situation
may result in a civil war.
Thus we take
it upon ourselves
to inform you about the
events in Ukraine. We will
provide you with yet another
viewpoint regarding this conflict. We will do
our best to remain fair
and objective. Maidan

– the Head of the Supreme
Council Oleksandr Turchynov is acting
President of Ukraine according to appropriate law. 24 February
– Russia recalled its Ambassador Mikhail Zurabov from Ukraine, which
in diplomatic terms means utmost
discontent and may indicate Russia's
readiness to implement harsh measures towards Ukraine. 24 February
– today there is high probability
of Russia trying to gain
control over Sevastopol in the
obvious or concealed manner. Involvement of the army forces
– Russian Black Sea Fleet, which
is stationed in Sevastopol, is also possible. 24 February
– an official warrant has been
issued for the capture of
Viktor Yanukovych, the former President
of Ukraine. He spent the
night of February 23-24 in Crimea. 24 February
– the EU is ready to provide
financial support in the amount
of 20 billion Euro to Ukraine
– to be used
for appropriate reforms after new
government is formed in Kyiv. 24 February
– Susan Rice, the US National Security Advisor, stated that Russia's
military interference in Ukraine would
be a "serious mistake". Maidan
