Ukraine. Russian troops have entered Crimea. Thus we take it upon ourselves to
inform you about the events in Ukraine. We will provide you with yet another
viewpoint regarding this conflict. We will do our best to remain fair and
objective. April
22 – Germany is calling on China
to support crisis resolution concerning Ukraine – the appeal was
voiced by Sigmar Gabriel, Germany’s Minister for Economic Affairs
and Energy. April
22 – US Senate’s republicans
and democrats are demanding strict
sanctions against Russian energy companies (Gazprom, in particular) and banks from
Barack Obama. April
22 – Russian authorities have prohibited Mustafa Cemilev, the leader of
Crimean Tatars, from entering Russia
and Crimea before 2019. When crossing Crimea-Ukraine administrative
border, Mustafa Cemilev has been
handed a “Notification Letter of non-permission
to enter Russian Federation”. April
22 – Russian Federation and its terrorist
units in Ukraine are pointedly
ignoring the implementation of Geneva agreements, stated acting President
of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov. April
22 – In Sevastopol, Holocaust monument was desecrated, informs Boris Gelman,
Deputy Chairman of the Sevastopol
Jewish community
“Hesed-Shahar”. April
22 – US Vice President Joseph Biden has
stated that Russian Federation will face greater
international isolation if it keeps
supporting the people seizing administration buildings in Eastern Ukraine. April
22 – Russian saboteurs were spotted operating
in Sloviansk during the night.
Earlier these people incited unrest in Kramatorsk
and earlier still (in 2008) – in Georgia. They
were previously identified as servicemen
of both 45th separate regiment of Airborne Troops
and 2nd separate special mission brigade of the
Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff
of Armed Forces of Russian
