23 – A mutilated body of a man found
in Torets River near the
village of Raihorodok in Donetsk
oblast was identified as Volodymyr
Rybak, a councillor of Horlivka Town
Council (Batkivschyna Party). Militia reports that he
was tortured and later killed
by pro-Russian separatists.
Security Service of Ukraine suspects
that Igor Bezler, lieutenant-colonel of Russia’s Main Intelligence
Directorate might be involved in
the murder of Volodymyr Rybak.
Separatists abducted Mr.Rybak after a pro-Ukrainian rally “For the
Unity of Ukraine”, held in Horlivka on
April 17th. April
23 – Chairman of the Mejlis of
the Crimean Tatars Refat Chubarov
has declined an offer to
become a citizen of Russian Federation. April
23 – Kyiv District Administrative Court will try a case
regarding the prohibition of activity by the
parties “Ruski Blok” (Russian Bloc) and “Ruska
Yednist (Russian Unity), which encourage
the invasion of Ukraine by

23 – In cooperation with Odesa-based activists, Mykolaiv volunteer soldiers (who support the
unity and territorial integrity of Ukraine), have
detained an armed coordinator of separatist groups.
Detained man was also in
possession of approximately a hundred FINBANK bank cards, informed
David Arakhamiya, spokesman of “People’s
Volunteer Corps” in Mykolaiv. April
23 – A mini-bus carrying about a dozen of
youth from Kharkiv was detained
by volunteer soldiers on April
20th. Youth have been paid 200 UAH and were planning
to meet their
coordinator at Mykolaiv bus station
in order to receive further
instructions about organizing future unrest. April
23 – In view of Russia’s and
separatists’ failure to adhere to
Geneva accord on resolving the
crisis, security, defence and law
enforcement agencies of Ukraine have
renewed their anti-terrorist operation in Donetsk oblast,
stated First Vice Prime Minister
of Ukraine Vitaliy Yarema. April
23 – Russian authorities have prohibited Russian servicemen and officers of
all security, defence and law
enforcement agencies to travel abroad
to 120 world countries. April
23 – A comprehensive monitoring
of electronic correspondence was introduced in Russia. Maidan
