Dear friends!

Russia has carried out an act of aggression towards Ukraine. Russian troops have entered Crimea. Thus we take it upon ourselves to inform you about the events in Ukraine. We will provide you with yet another viewpoint regarding this conflict. We will do our best to remain fair and objective.

March 30 – Servicemen of Internal Security Troops from Crimean Territorial Headquarters of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs have been relocated to mainland Ukraine.

March 30 – Ministry of Defence of Ukraine plans to relocate up to 5 thousand servicemen and up to 3 thousand family members from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

March 30 – The ceremony to remove the state flag of Ukraine and exchange it for the state flag of Russia took place at Sevastopol National University of Nuclear Energy and Industry last Friday. When Ukrainian flag was being removed, a large number of students started singing a national anthem of Ukraine and continued to sing even when the audio track was hastily switched off. When the acting Chancellor tried to interrupt the singing, the students chanted “Glory to Ukraine – Glory to the heroes – Ukraine above all – Death to the enemies”. Dozens of students defiantly left the grounds during the subsequent ceremony of raising the Russian flag. An operating low capacity nuclear reactor is located at the University. It is guarded by a special unit of Interior Troops of Ukraine on nuclear security.

March 30 – Together with the USA and the EU, Russia proposes to force Ukraine to change its Constitution and transform into a federation. Such intimidation tactics by Russia are treated in Ukraine as preparation for further annexation of Ukraine’s territory by Russia and a brutal interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine.
