Russia has carried out an act of aggression towards Ukraine. Russian troops have entered Crimea. Thus we take it upon ourselves to inform you about the events in Ukraine. We will provide you with yet another viewpoint regarding this conflict. We will do our best to remain fair and objective.

March 31 – Ukraine is reviewing the issue of being a nonaligned state, said OleksandrTurchynov, acting President of Ukraine and Chairman of the Supreme Council of Ukraine. Ukraine would like to cooperate with NATO more closely. Up to date Ukraine held a neutral state status.

Ukraine strongly believes that this demand is a brutal interference in its internal affairs.

March 31 – After Crimea’s annexation, State Duma of Russian Federation has unilaterally denounced Naval Base for Gas treaty Agreement. Russia has stated that has no intentions of paying Ukraine for the stationed Black Sea Fleet because Crimea has “become” a constituency of Russia.

March 31 – In downtown Kyiv, Security Service of Ukraine has detained one of the leaders of Eurasian Youth UnionOleg Bakhtiyarov, who was preparing to take over the premises of the Supreme Council of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

March 31 – Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has informed German Chancellor Angela Merkel about partial withdrawal of Russian troops from the eastern border of Ukraine.
