Dear friends!

Russia has carried out an act of aggression towards Ukraine. Russian troops have entered Crimea. Thus we take it upon ourselves to inform you about the events in Ukraine. We will provide you with yet another viewpoint regarding this conflict. We will do our best to remain fair and objective.

 

April 4 – Ukraine has limited the length of stay for the citizens of Russian Federation – they can now remain in Ukraine for up to 90 days during 180 days from the date of their first entry.

 

April 4 – Military equipment, which is being relocated to mainland Ukraine, has been totally destroyed – “Equipment was broken by Russian servicemen, the engines were smashed with axes… Reserve food supply storehouses have been plundered”.

 

April 4 – There are approximately 10-15 thousand Russian servicemen stationed at Ukrainian borders, informed First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Vitaliy Yarema.

 

April 4 –“We haven't seen real de-escalation by Russia and therefore Europe must not relax in preparing a third tier of sanctions and making sure we continue to have a strong and united response”, said British Foreign Minister William Hague.

 

April 4 – Russia “hadn’t had and couldn’t have had” anything to do with snipers , who were shooting people at Maidan in Kyiv, stated Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has issues a note of inquiry to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia requesting to question Russia’s Colonel General of the Federal Security Services (FSB) Sergei Beseda on the circumstances of his stay in Ukraine during February 20-21st, 2014 – this is when the mass killings of the protesters took place at Maidan.

 

April 4 – First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Vitaliy Yarema has stated that Viktor Yanukovych is personally funding separatist disturbances in the southeast of Ukraine.

 

April 4 – 173 Ukrainians who were injured during events at Maidan in Kyiv are currently abroad. They are receiving medical treatment or rehabilitation: 65 are in Poland, 31 in Czech Republic, 23 in Slovakia, 16 in Germany, 9 in Lithuania, 7 in Austria, 6 in Latvia, 5 in Italy, 5 in Israel, 5 in Estonia and 1 in Sweden.

 

April 4 – Yanukovych, other Ukrainian top officials, military representatives and chiefs of special services, who have been involved in mass killings of protesters, will be prosecuted by international tribunal if they do not show for questioning in Ukraine, stated Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine.

 

April 4 – Olesia Yachno: «Merkel-Putin: “a slap in the face”. I think Angela Merkel “slapped Vladimir Putin right in the face” when she presented Xi Jinping with a “first accurate map of China” during his visit to Germany. The map was put together in Germany in 1735. Modern territory of Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, which once belonged to China, are marked in red. Well, who knew – Lake Baikal is an internal sea of China
