Ukraine. Russian troops have entered Crimea. Thus we take it upon ourselves to
inform you about the events in Ukraine. We will provide you with yet another
viewpoint regarding this conflict. We will do our best to remain fair and
objective. April
8 – Donetsk Mayor Oleksandr Lukyanchenko has stated that
separatists are cutting off gas
supply, burn down cars and
try to build
barricades with trolleybuses. Officers of the Security
Service of Ukraine (SSU) have returned to the
premises of SSU Department in Donetsk
oblast. The building was previously
occupied by separatists. April
8 – Separatists, who are blocked in
the SSU building in Luhansk have
stated that they are planning
to establish the “parliament of Luhansk Republic”.
Luhansk separatists have planted mines
in the SSU building and captured
60 hostages, informs SSU. April
8 – Separatists armed with bats, stones
and bricks have attacked the
busses transporting militia officers in Kharkiv. April
8 – Supreme Council of Ukraine has
approved increased responsibility for crimes committed against national security and calls
for separatism aiming to change
existing territorial limits or state
borders of Ukraine. April
8 – Russia is preparing for a second stage of
the invasion of Ukraine – “…aggravation of separatist movement and participation of Russian citizens
in unlawful activities demonstrate the intention to
implement a second stage of the
occupation of Ukraine, informs the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. April
8 – Supreme Council of Ukraine has
voted for a Law “On Reinstating
the Trust in Judiciary System”.
This Law provides for the
reinstatement of trust in judiciary
system in Ukraine and for
proper not formal lustration of judicial establishment. April
8 – Engagement of Russian troops on Ukrainian mainland
is expected during the night
of April 8-9th. In addition pro-Russian activists have been instructed to organize “bloody”
provocations, informs the leader of
the group “Information Resistance” Dmytro Tymchuk. Maidan
