Dear friends!

Russia has carried out an act of aggression towards Ukraine. Russian troops have entered Crimea. Thus we take it upon ourselves to inform you about the events in Ukraine. We will provide you with yet another viewpoint regarding this conflict. We will do our best to remain fair and objective.

April 9 – U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry accused Russia of using “special forces and agents” to fuel unrest in the east of Ukraine. He also said that Moscow may be preparing for military action and will act in a manner similar to how it acted in Crimea.

April 9 – Russia is financing subversion in Ukraine and threatens Europe with returning to the hell of the 20th century, said Poland’s Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.

April 9 – Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has detained Russian citizen Maria Koleda, who carried out the tasks of Russian special intelligence services aiming to destabilize the situation in the southern regions ofUkraine. On April 7, she participated in clashes near the Mykolaiv Oblast State Administration. According to Maria, she used a fire-arm and wounded three persons. She also informed about the preparation of two subversive groups (7 persons from Kherson and 6 people from Nova Kakhovka) to be sent to Donetsk to participate in riots.

April 9 – In Kharkiv, SSU officers detained four individuals, a Russian citizen and three Ukrainian citizens who were trying to hand over hard drives with classified information.

April 9 – Most residents of Donetsk – 65,7% – would like to remain living in Ukraine, whereas only 18,2% would like to live in a region, which is part of Russia. In addition, half of Donetsk residents – 50,2 % – spoke in favor of unitary state and not the federative state.
